A bright flashing object was observed in Edmonton, Alberta as reported by an eyewitness. This report has been obtained from a testimony included in the database of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), published on 5 July, 2015.

The witness begins the report by describing what he was doing at the time of the incident.

“Around 2300 hours I stood on my deck, like I usually do every night and stare up into the sky as I have a cigarette.”

He tells us how he noticed a dark patch in the sky while staring at a star.

“I noticed close to the direction I also stare at as there is bright star, not sure which star, I noticed a dark patch and I couldn't see the stars behind it.”

The witness then tells us how the object flashed and shot straight up when he was trying to focus at it.

“As I was trying to focus on it, it flashed really bright and shot straight up. At that time there was patches of clouds you could see but not many.”

He further tells us how the object disappeared and then appeared again in no time.

“As it shot up it disappeared. I then noticed the cloud in the direction it shot up was kind of blurry then another flash and it shot up towards space then I saw a faint flash and there it was.”

The witness then describes how the flashes he saw got dimmer as the object climbed higher. He also tells us that he was in a state of shock as a result of what he saw.

“The three flashes I saw got dimmer as it climbed higher. I was kind of kind of like in shock, did I just see what I saw.”

The witness also tells us how the incident kept playing in his head and that his wife did not believe him when he narrated the incident to her.

“I kept playing it in my head. I called my wife and told her but she just smiled and wasn't helpful lol.”

He finally describes to us how he tried to convince his wife about believing in the things he saw.

“I swore on everything I believe in to her on what I saw, then just left it at that.”
